Ink in My Veins: A Poem


If you want to be
Like the masters-
Write, paint, create-
Like the masters
You must become the master
Of letting go.
Cut, slice, chop
Every word must earn
Its way onto the page
Ink is more valuable than blood
Don’t waste a drop
